Ron Adner
Ron Adner is an award-winning professor of strategy at the Tuck School. His research and teaching focus on innovation, strategy, and entrepreneurship. His work introduces a new perspective on the relationship among firms, customers, and the broader "innovation ecosystems" in which they interact to create value.
Professor Adner is a speaker and consultant to companies around the world. He is an accomplished teacher who was recognized in 2011 with the Tuck School’s inaugural Award for Teaching Excellence for his courses on innovation strategy. Prior to joining the Tuck faculty, he taught at INSEAD where he was honored with the Outstanding Teacher award five times (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005).
Professor Adner’s book, The Wide Lens: A New Strategy for Innovation (Portfolio, 2012), has been heralded as a path-breaking guide to successful innovation in an interdependent world. His pioneering Harvard Business Review article, "Match Your Innovation Strategy to Your Innovation Ecosystem," is assigned reading in over fifty global MBA programs.
Professor Adner holds a PhD and an MA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.
